Unless the chosen has exercised the presidential power, the voters never know whether the choice is right or wrong. Even if time elapses, one does not know whether state affairs could be managed even better if another candidate had been chosen. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
In short, election is actually only a game, a ceremony to enshrine an individual with the power to run the country, to make state power legitimate so that when the government does something, the citizens do not complain too much since they would perceive the fault to be partially their own making. But remember also that the president is supported by a big state machine.
